Introduction – Pie Chart
Here we will discuss in brief about construction of a Pie Chart or Pie Graph from given data.
Let us see what is a pie chart or pie graph.
A “pie graph or (pie chart)” is a circular chart divided into sectors, each sector represents a proportionate part of a whole.
Simply a pie chart is a circular graph which is used to represent data.
A Pie chart or a circle chart is a specific type(circular statistical) of a chart or graph, where the data represents in the form of a circle.
In a pie chart, a circle is divided into various sections or segments and each sector or segment represents the numerical proportion or percentage of the total.
Note- A pie chart or graph is also known as circle graph.
A pie chart has a full angle 360 degree, means the 100% of the circle is 360 degree. Thus, 3.6 degree on the pie chart represent 1 percent of the total value of the represented variable.
When we divide the circle into smaller portions then a part of a circle is called an arc.
