What is Ordinate
Ordinate is the value of the Y coordinate on a coordinate plane.

Ordinate is the value of the Y axis on a coordinate plane.
In a coordinate plane, the Ordinate is the Y coordinate of a point.
The Vertical line is called the Y axis.
The distance of a point from the X axis is called its Y coordinate or Ordinate.
The Ordinate always comes second, in an ordered pair.
In above figure ordered pair of point P is (3, 2)
The Ordinate of point P (3, 2) is 2.
