Three Dimensional Shapes

In this section, we will discuss about 3D three dimensional shapes.

Definition:

Example: Cuboid, cube, cone, cylinder, sphere, pyramid, rectangle pyramid, square pyramid, triangular prism, tetrahedron, hexagonal pyramid etc. are examples of three dimensional shapes.

It has six rectangles and each rectangle is called the face. The opposite faces of a cuboid are identical.

1. A cuboid has six faces.

ABCD, EFGH, ADGE, BCHF, ABEF and DCGH are six faces of cuboid.   2. A cuboid has eight vertices. A, B, C, D, E, F, G, and H are vertices of the cuboid.    3. A cuboid has twelve edges. AB, AE, EF, BF, BC, CH, HF, DC, GH, DG, AD and GE are twelve edges of cuboid.
