If a given line splits a given figure into two identical halves, we say that the line has a line of symmetry or that the figure is symmetrical about the line and line is called a line of symmetry or the axis of symmetry.

A shape may have more than one line of symmetry depending on its angles and the lengths of each side.

A regular decagon has 10 line of symmetry. The number of line of symmetry in a regular polygon is equal to the number of sides. Therefore, a regular decagon has 10 line of symmetry.

For example, a rectangle has two lines of symmetry because it can be folded in half both horizontally and vertically to create mirror images.

A regular decagon is a polygon with ten equal sides and ten equal angles.

There are ten lines of symmetry in a regular decagon with equal sides and angles. This is due to the fact that a decagon may be folded in half ten different ways such that one side perfectly fits the other.
