Square Root of a Number

The inverse (opposite) operation of addition is subtraction and the inverse operation of multiplication is division.

Similarly, The “square root” is the inverse operation of squaring that number.

Square root of a number is number itself.

           Square of 1 = 1 x 1 = 1 = 1²

           Square of 5 = 5 x 5 = 25 = 5²

           Square of n = n x n = n²  

        The square and square root of a number 1 to 10.

             1²= 1, therefore square root of 1 is 1.

2² = 4, therefore square root of 4 is 2.

             3² = 9, therefore square root of 9 is 3.  

        4² = 16, therefore square root of 16 is 4. 

5² = 25, therefore square root of 25 is 5. 

6² = 36, therefore square root of 36 is 6. 

        7² = 49, therefore square root of 49 is 7. 

8² = 64, therefore square root of 64 is 8. 

          9² = 81, therefore square root of 81 is 9. 

10² = 100, therefore square root of 100 is 10.
