Ascending and Descending order

   Ascending order

When we arrange the data from smallest to greatest, order it is called Ascending order.

Example- 5, 12, 26, 38, 45.

In this example we see that 5 is less then 12,
       12 is less then 26, 26 is less then 38,and 38
       is less then 45,

Here we arrange the data smallest to greatest order.

So first we take 5, then we take 12, after 12
we select 26 after 26 we select 38.
45 is greatest data in given data so we take
45 is the last of the series.

 Descending order

When we arrange the data from greatest smallest, order it is called Descending order.

 Example- 45, 38, 26, 12, 5.

In this example we see that 45 is bigger then
38, 38 is bigger then 26, 26 is bigger then
     12, and 12 is bigger then 5,

Here we arrange the data greatest to
    smallest order.

So first we take 45, then we take 38, after 38
we select 26 after 26 we select 12.
5 is smallest data in given data so we take
5 is the last of the series.
