In this tutorial, we will learn addition with help of sticks.

Let’s take an example to understand addition.

How to add (1+ 1)

Example: 1 + 1 = 2

In this example we have to find 1 plus 1 equals how much. We will solve the problem with the help of sticks. We take 1 stick again we take 1 stick. Now we have 2 sticks. So 1 plus 1 equals to 2.

1 + 1 = 2

Add (1 + 2)

Example: 1 + 2 = 3

Here, we have 1 stick, we want to add 2 more sticks with one stick. Now we will count all together. So, 1 stick plus 2 sticks equals to 3 sticks.

Add (1 + 3)

Example: 1 + 3 = 4

We have 1stick, we want to add 3 more sticks with one stick. So, 1 stick plus 3 sticks equals to 4 sticks.

Add (1 + 4)

Example: 1 + 4 = 5

Now we will add 1 plus 4. So, start with 1 stick and count 4 sticks. Therefore we have 5 sticks.
