Cardinal and Ordinal Numbers

Cardinal numbers are counting numbers as, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5,…..etc are called Cardinal Numbers. 

The cardinal numbers express the quantitative property of the numbers, ordinal numbers express their order.

Cardinal numbers do not have a suffix tacked onto the end.

Ordinal numbers are used to show the position. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th……are called ordinal numbers.

Ordinal number indicated position or order in relation to other numbers.

Ordinal numbers always have a suffix tacked onto the end,
